Summer Institute

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we want to be as accommodating as possible while also ensuring we can plan responsibly for the event. The following cancellation guidelines help us manage commitments, staffing, and expenses in a fair way for everyone involved.
Participants who cancel their registration while registration remains open will not be charged any registration fees.
Participants who cancel their registration between April 11 and May 12 will be responsible for 50% of the total registration fee.
Participants who cancel after May 12 will be charged 100% of the registration fee.

Cross-National participants are not included in this cancellation policy.

Flight Information
If you are flying into Hamilton please book a flight that arrives prior to 4 pm on May 20th, and departs after 1:30 pm on May 27th. If you are flying into Toronto, please book a flight that arrives no later than 2pm on May 20th and departs no earlier than 4pm on May 27th. If you are unsure about your itinerary at the time of registration, please email flight information to Dana McMahon (dana.mcmahon@yfc.ca) as soon as possible.

Scholarships
We have a limited number of scholarships available for SI on a first come basis. Step one is to register for SI. After registration you can send an email to Brett Andrews (brett.andrews@yfc.ca) requesting financial assistance. This request should include a letter from the chapter Executive Director outlining the need. Once the request is approved, a reimbursement cheque will be sent to the chapter.

Virtual Attendance – LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE
A limited number of spaces are available for virtual participation in Summer Institute. These spaces are reserved for those in extenuating circumstances who are unable to attend in person. The following reasons will be considered: medical situations or significant family dynamics. Please email your regional trainer with a detailed description of your need to attend virtually. Your supervisor, ED and regional trainer will meet to approve your application.
