Supervision 121:
How to Provide Healthy & Effective Supervision

Supervision 121 is part of a larger effort to strengthen high-quality supervision that improves employee engagement, care, and effectiveness across YFC|Youth Unlimited Canada. This 7-part course is designed to help you develop confidence and competence as you give support and direction to those you supervise. This course is based on the needs expressed by YFC missionaries, supervisors, and executive directors. Modules include:

  • the role and competencies of shepherding supervisors
  • time management
  • situational leadership
  • the supervisor as coach
  • courageous conversations
  • supervising different personalities, and
  • caring well for those you supervise

Taught by practitioners across YFC Canada this course will give you skills to lead more effectively and the opportunity to share best practices with like-minded people!

Here’s what one participant had to say: “Best done course by YFC ever. Meeting every month with small group discussion and the occasional homework really helped solidify the training. I saw areas I could improve on but also areas that I actually am doing very well in. VERY WELL DONE!”

Dates: Second Thursday of the month (*except April which will be the third Thursday)
